PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene)
What is PTFE?
PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene. PTFE is an incredibly versatile material with a wide range of applications. Specially for its non-stick properties. PTFE has one of the lowest coefficient of friction of any solid. It is a fluorocarbon solid consisting wholly of carbon & fluorine.
Properties of PTFE :
Has a physically, chemical & mechanical properties. :-
– Lowest Rate of friction.
– Toughness & Flexibility.
– Good Resistance to Deformation.
– Good Compressive Strength.
– High Thermal Conductivity.
– Chemical Resistance.
– Non-Stick Properties.
– Low Water Absorption.
– Non-Flammable.
– Exceptional Weathering Resistance.
